DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\n\n\nThe Governmental Affairs Council of the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce will host members of both State and local legislative bodies who will give legislative updates.\n\n \n\nSpeakers will include State Senator Fran Millar\, State House Representative Tom Taylor\, DeKalb County Commissioner Nancy Jester\, Dunwoody City Manager Eric Linton and DeKalb County School Board member Stan Jester.  During the event speakers will discuss current issues affecting their specific areas of concentration.   \n\n \n\nState Senator Fran Millar is a Republican\, was elected to the State Senate for Georgia's 40th District in 2010. Senator Millar represents portions of DeKalb\, Fulton and Gwinnett counties.\n\n \n\nState House Representative Tom Taylor represents Georgia House District 79\, which includes the entire City of Dunwoody\, part of Chamblee\, and part of Doraville in North DeKalb County. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2010.\n\n \n\nDeKalb County Commissioner Nancy Jester is the newly elected Commissioner for District 1 and resident of the City of Dunwoody.  She was elected to the Board in 2014.\n\n \n\nDunwoody City Manager Eric Linton was chosen as the new City Manager in December of 2014 and began his position in January of 2015.  Mr. Linton is a Credentialed Manager with the International City/County Management Association\, a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is active in the American Planning Association\, Georgia Planning Association\, the Georgia City-County Management Association and the Association County Commissioners of Georgia.\n\n \n\nNewly elected DeKalb County School Board member Stan Jester is a resident of the City of Dunwoody and represents District 1 which includes all schools in the City of Dunwoody.
